"DUDU GEVA - MUSCLE ZIONISM"

 

Inspired by the work of Israeli comic artist Dudu Geva and his constant deliberation on Israeli masculinity.

For this tailored garment I drew inspiration from the dress of two main groups that represented zionism at its finest then and now- the pioneers who started the "kibbutz" and the modern day right wing settlers in the occupied territory.

Like Geva I tried to draw a line between the urban Tel Avivy manhood to the provincial 'agricultural' idealistic manhood as seen by the Israeli society.
